As we wrap up an exhilarating month of coding, collaboration, and community spirit, it’s time to shine a spotlight on the stars of the TruffleHog Hacktoberfest 2023 Detector Competition.

A Celebration of Contributions
This year we had an astonishing 82 PRs submitted by the community to improve TruffleHog’s secret detection. Each contribution was a testament to the power of open-source and the collective effort to make the digital world a safer place. We are incredibly proud of the work done by all participants and the winners who have led this charge.
Corben, Damanpreet, and Ankush added notable detector improvements like response parsing, updating target endpoint, and regular expression changes. They also added a collective total of 31 new Detectors!
